PAIRING AND CONNECTIVITY

PAIRING - Why is my smartwatch not connecting to the mobile?

The phone operating system may kill/shut down the APP background active for some reasons (like power saving, system optimize etc…); if you do not use the M-01 App on your phone for long time it might happen. But the watch will re-connect automatically with your phone if you activate M-01 App only after few seconds.

PAIRING - Why can't I pair the smartwatch with the App?

To successfully pair the smartwatch with the APP, first make sure that BT is turned on on your smartphone. Then from the main menu of the APP >> Device >> Add device >> click on DEVICES LIST at the top right and select MORELLATO M-01 with the same BT MAC that you find in the watch menu under the INFO item and wait until when it connects. Once connected you will receive a notification that will ask you for authorization to pair your smartphone with the smartwatch, then click on PAIR. Then go to the BT section of your smartphone and you should see the MORELLATO M-01 device connected, if not, tap it to connect.

PAIRING - How do i unpair my smartwatch and mobile phone? Do I lose my data?

You can unpair the smartwatch following these steps: from the APP: Device >> Remove Device. From the smartphone: Settings >> Connections >> Bluetooth >> Paired Devices >> click on the small wheel right of MORELLATO M-03 >> UNPAIR. Once disconnected you won't lose the data, but the smartwatch and the smartphone will no longer be connected. To restore the connection between the two it will be necessary to follow the steps to pair them again.

To check if the App is updated to the latest version, you need to check the App Store for iOS devices and the Play Store for Android devices. You can double check it through the APP by following these steps; FW version: Main menu >> Device >> Firmware upgrade; APP Version: Main Menu >> Me >> About

COMPATIBILITY - Which phones are compatible with my smartwatch?

M-01 supports smart phones IOS version 12.0 or above / ANDROID 5.0 or above; you can check your phone system version in Settings >> General >> About >> Software version for IOS devices; and Settings >> About Phone >> Software information for ANDROID devices

CONNECTIVITY - How far can my smartwatch be from my phone to stay connected?

The smartwatch can stay connected obstacles-free at least 10 meters and max 20 meters depending on the quality of the Bluetooth.

CONNECTIVITY - Why even if my smartwatch is connected to the mobile phone, when I receive a phone call it does not notify me on the smartwatch?

The phone call notification is only active while the APP is allowed to obtain related permissions from your phone. It's required at the beginning of first connection in APP and you should choose ALLOW to authorize the APP to do so. For Android devices you can double check in phone settings by following these steps: Settings >> Apps >> MORELLATO M-01 >> Permissions >> make sure that PHONE permission is allowed, as long as other permissions. Finally check in the APP if CALL REMINDER setting is ON (APP >> Device >> Call reminder >> turn it ON)

CONNECTIVITY - Why does the smartwatch often disconnect?

The device need to be kept close to the smartphone and with BT active and battery charged, if so it should not disconnect.

CONNECTIVITY - Why is my smartwatch not transmitting data to the phone?

First of all make sure smartwatch and smartphone are correctly paired. Sports / health data will be uploaded and updated in the phone APP while you activate the APP, you just need to wait a few seconds. Make sure the BT is well connected. Also make sure you have the latest version of the APP installed; APP >> Profile >> Information and check on the App Store / Google Play Store if there are new updates. Also make sure you have installed the latest version of the FW: from the main menu of the APP >> Device >> Firmware Update >> a pop up message should appear informing that there is no update available in case the current version of FW is already the most up-to-date. Finally, make sure the APP is allowed for a background task: -for iOS devices: Settings >> MORELLATO M-01 >> allow BACKGROUND APP UPDATE; -for Android devices: Settings >> Applications >> MORELLATO M-01 >> Battery >> you should have a non-optimized battery usage by default, so background activity should already be allowed.

SYNCHRONIZATION - How often do my smartwatch and mobile phone sync?

Synchronization is instant while the APP is on.

SYNCHRONIZATION - Can I perform manual synchronization?

No you can't. Only automatic synchronization is allowed. But in the App main page >> Home, you can pull down the interface to refresh the dada. First of all make sure that your smartwatch and smartphone are correctly paired. The sports / health data will be uploaded and updated in the phone APP while you activate the APP, just wait few seconds. Make sure the BT is well connected.Also make sure you have the latest version of the APP installed: To check if the APP is updated to the latest version, you need to check the App Store for iOS devices and the Play Store for Android devices. You can check the APP version through the APP itself: APP>> Me >> scrolling down untill the end of the page you can see the APP version. Also make sure you have the latest FW version installed: APP>> Device>> Firmware Upgrade>> The message "No update available" should appear if the Firmware is already updated to the latest version. Finally, make sure the APP is allowed for a background activity: For Android devices: Settings >> AP>>Morellato >> Battery >> you should have a non-optimized battery usage by default, so background activity should already be allowed.

CALLING - How can I allow the smartwatch to be able to make and/or receive calls?

To be able to receive calls correctly, make sure that the incoming call alert is active. You can check this from the APP by following these steps; iOS: App main menu >> Device >> Call notification >> Activate INCOMING CALL ALERTS; Android: Main menu of the APP >> Device >> make sure that the INCOMING CALL ALERT entry is active. Also make sure that the APP has the relative authorization: to check follow these steps in your smartphone: Settings >> Applications >> MORELLATO M-01 >> Permissions >> checks that the permissions for PHONE and CALL LOGS are active. Also make sure the M-01 is connected to your smartphone; iOS: Settings >> Bluetooth >> Verify that MORELLATO M-01 is connected; click on the relevant blue info button and make sure that the SYSTEM NOTIFICATIONS SHARE setting is active; Android: you can’t see

CALLING - How can I deactivate the possibility of making the smartwatch able to make/receive calls?

If you don't want the smartwatch to make/receive any call you should turn off Incoming Call button on Message push section by following these steps: from the phone APP main page >> Me >> Device >> Message Push >> Incoming Call; You can also simply turn on the Do Not Disturb button from phone APP main page >> Me >> Device >> Do Not Disturb. If so, the smartwatch will not receive calling and message notification.

BATTERY, POWER AND CHARGING

OTHER - Why did my smartwatch turn off?

In order to turn on the smartwatch try a long push on the 3H button or put the watch onto the charger. Also make sure it is charged enough.

BATTERY - How long does my smartwatch battery last?

The smartwatch battery lasts approximately 7 days in stand-by mode, while around 3-5 days with a normal use and only 1-2 days with BT almost always connected and a high frequency of use on speaker and vibration. Generally the higher the brightness level on the smartwatch, the lower the battery lasting.

BATTERY - How do I know if my smartwatch is charging?

Charging animation will be shown while smartwatch is charging

BATTERY - Why is my smartwatch not charging?

You shall check whether the two charging base metal pillars are correctly fit into watch backside charge points or not.

BATTERY - How long does it take to charge my smartwatch?

Charging time will be around 2-3 hours.

BATTERY - How do I know if my smartwatch battery is low and I need to recharge it?

There's a battery icon on watch display which shows the battery level.

BATTERY - Why does my smartwatch not turn on?

Like smartphone, after a long time of no using, also the battery watch will loose power. It's normal and, after charging the watch, it will start running regularly.

RECHARGE - the watch charges to 100% after a while without using the functions, it discharges immediately.

The smartwatch battery lasts approximately 7 days in stand-by mode, while around 3-5 days with a normal use and only 1-2 days with BT almost always connected and a high frequency of use on speaker and vibration. If battery loose power too fast, please contact Morellato Sevice Center for help.

RECHARGE - I have charged the watch to 100% but once removed from the holder it does not turn on anymore

You shall push 3H button to light up the screen. If the watch can not turn on, please contact Morellato Service Center for help.

RECHARGE - The watch only works when it is charging

The watch actually doesn't work when charging, it only shows the charging animation.

STRAP AND ACCESSORIES

ACCESSORIES - What comes with my smartwatch?

You will get the smartwatch box and the related dock charger and of course the smartwatch.

ACCESSORIES - Can I buy a new charger?

You may try to ask your question to the SERVICE CENTER for further clarifications.

STRAP - Is it normal for the strap to open easily?

While the fix pin fits the strap hole properly, the strap should not easily open.

STRAP - Are there any replacement straps? Where can I buy them?

STRAP - Can I change the strap on my smartwatch by myself?

M-01 is designed with "easy click" spring bar so you can change straps by yourself easily.

CONFIGURATION

UPDATE - I have trouble installing updates, or I get an error message while updating my watch. What should I do?

You should normally re-connect to the smartphone and complete the update through M-01 APP will fix it. Make sure phone with good condition of internet access. Or please contact Morellato Service Center for assistance.

HEARTBEAT - Can I change the frequency with which the smartwatch detects the heartbeat?

No, you can not.

CONFIGURATION - How do I reset my smartwatch to factory default settings?

Here the following steps; From the watch: swipe up from the main menu >> Settings >> Factory mode >> Confirm

LANGUAGE - How do I change the language on my smartwatch?

BRIGHTNESS - Can i change the brightness of my smartwatch?

NOTIFICATIONS - I only want to receive notifications from some Apps. How do I do it?

You shall enter the APP and follow this step: Main menu >> Me >> Device >> Message Push >> turn off the APP you don't want receive notifications from.

NOTIFICATIONS - I am not receiving notifications. How can I do?

First of all make sure that the smartphone is BT connected and allowed to share notifications and details to the smartwatch. If notifications are still not working, you shall enter the APP and follow this step: Main menu >> Me >> Message Push >> check if you turned on the notification switch for related APP

STEPS - Can I change my daily step goal?

You shall enter the APP and follow this step: Main menu >> Me >> Goal >> Select the target >> Confirm

PROFILE - How are my personal data used?

We do not store in any way your personal data and it is used solely to give you a more personalized experience with M-01 and M-01 APP.

PROFILE - Why do I have to provide my birthday, height, weight and sex data?

This kind of data is not compulsory but it is only needed for a better calculation and management of your sports activity and for HR and BP monitoring.

PROFILE - How can I edit my profile?

You shall enter the APP and follow these steps: Main >> Me >> Select the top-middle round person icon >> Select data you want to change >> Save

SOFTWARE - Can I update my smartwatch software?

You normally will get automatically FW / UI updates, but you can double check also on the mobile APP in follwing these steps; Main menu >> Me >> Device >> Firmware upgrade >> an "ALREADY THE LATEST VERSION" message should pop up if the device is already updated.

TIME - How do I set the time on my smartwatch?

It is automatically synced with the phone time when it's connected. In case of any discrepancies, make sure the device is connected

TOUCHSCREEN E DISPLAY

DISPLAY - The screen is no longer responding, how do I unlock my smartwatch?

We suggest to trying unpairing completely the BT from the phone and also reset the device (if screen is moving). Then keeping it fully charged and trying to connect again the device, you shall check if any firmware update is available from the APP.

DISPLAY - The screen has gone black. What can I do?

You shall put the watch on the charger to light it up, or if it has enough power try to push 3H button to light it up or try a long push to turn it on.

DISPLAY - Can I change the look of the screen?

M-01 provides 4 watch faces for user's options. To change watch face just keep pressing on the main display until it shows all the different display options.

DISPLAY - Why does my smartwatch vibrate when I get notifications?

The smartphone of course vibrates when it's connected correctly with the smartwatch. If you want to remove the vibration you can do it from the smartwatch by swiping down from the smartwatch main page and turn off the vibration icon (the middle one in the first line) waiting till the icon becomes grey. If you don't want to get notifications from an app or more than one, you shall enter the APP and follow this step: Message Push >> from the list you can turn off the notification you don't want to see on your watch.

DISPLAY - Can I remove the vibration?

If you want to remove vibration we suggest you to turn on the DO NOT DISTURB mode if the vibration bothers you: from the watch: swipe down from the watch main page >> tap on moon icon; From the APP: Device >> Do not disturb.

TOUCHSCREEN - The touchscreen of my smartwatch no longer works. What can I do?

Like all smartphones, the screen of the M-01 smartwatch does not work well if the display is wet, so keep the screen away from sweat or water. Also make sure that the device does not receive strong impacts that could damage it. If it's not a water issue, make sure the UI and firmware are up to date and, if so, do a smartwatch data reset. If it still does not work, contact the Morellato Assistance Center for assistance.

USE

APP - Can I close the M-01 App on my mobile phone or do I have to keep it open all the time?

There is no need to keep it open all the time. The watch will re-connect automatically with your phone if you active M-01 App again. For Android make sure the APP is not optimized in order to keep receiving data.

APP - If I uninstall the app, do I lose all the data?

Yes.

APP - Can I send the recorded data on the App to other Apps?

No you can't

APP - Can I pair more than one device with the App at the same time?

No, M-01 App supports only one phone with one watch per session.

HEARTBEAT - Why does it count at most 100 heartbeats?

The sensor requests a little bit tight contact to your skin to detect the Heart Rate. You can try to wear the watch tighter but be aware of no hurting your wrist.

HEARTBEAT - Why are the data different from my heart rate monitor that I use for sports?

The sensor is not a medical level or high performance apparel and it requests a little bit tight contact to your skin to detect the Heart Rate. You can try to wear the watch tighter but be aware of no hurting your wrist.

HEARTBEAT - Can I see my heartbeat history?

You shall enter the APP and follow this step: main menu >> Status >> Heart Rate, it will be displayed the Heart Rate chart.

CAMERA - How do I use the smartwatch for remote shooting with my smartphone?

From the smartwatch you shall swipe up from the main menu >> Camera >> just tap on the watch face to take pictures with the smartphone camera

STOPWATCH - How does the STOPWATCH work?

As a normal stopwatch you may just start and pause/reset the total time counting on the display. You can record one time or multiple time as well.

WATERPROOF - It went out after it got splattered with water.

M-01 is an IP67 device therefore it is water proof in situations like washing hands and against strong jets of water. We still suggest NOT to wear it in high steam environments or while using any soap or detergents.

Since M-01 is an IP67 device therefore it is water proof and it should not have any problems even with heavy rain.

WEATHER FORECAST - Why is the weather not displayed?

Make sure your phone can access internet and the BT is well connected: if that, watch will capture and display the weather automatically after connecting.

DO NOT DISTURB - How do I activate / deactivate do not disturb mode?

Here the following steps; from the APP: Main menu >> Me >> Device >> Do not disturb >> Switch it on/off; from the watch: swipe down from the main watch face >> click on the "Do not disturb mode" (the moon icon one in the second line) to switch it on/off;

NOTIFICATIONS - I own an Android smartphone and I have problems in receiving notifications on the smartwatch.

To make sure you don't have problems receiving notifications on Android device, you need to follow all these steps; 1) SETTINGS >> CONNECTIONS >> BLUETOOTH >> Pair and connect BT 3.0 device; 2) SETTINGS >> APPS >> Select MORELLATO M-01 >> Click on NOTIFICATIONS >> Activate SHOW NOTIFICATIONS; 3) SETTINGS >> APPLICATIONS >> Select MORELLATO M-01 >> Click on PERMISSIONS >> Click on the features you want to authorize and select ALLOW; 4) SETTINGS >> BATTERY AND DEVICE CARE >> BATTERY >> Check that the APP is already NOT OPTIMIZED therefore it is always active in the background

Every device can have a slight different ways to calculate steps due to different hardware. Try a wear the device properly to ensure the most accurate step calculation.

BUTTON - What is (are) the button (s) for?

The side pusher is used mostly to go back to the main page, but also to turn on/off the device. Please go to the user manual in the phone APP for more details.

TELEPHONE BOOK - Why can't I see the address book?

SONNO - Come viene monitorato il sonno?

SLEEP - How is sleep monitored?

While you are sleeping with a M-01 watch, it will monitor your heart beat/blood pressure and your movements during your sleep. Then it provides a sleep report through our algorithm. Make sure the smartwatch is correctly worn through your sleep.

SLEEP - Can i see my sleep history?

You shall enter the APP and follow this step: Main menu >> Status >> Sleep, it will be displayed the Sleep chart.

SHUTDOWN - Can i turn off my smartwatch?

Yes, you can do it with a long push on the button or by following these steps: swipe up from the smartwatch main page >> Settings >> Power off

SHUTDOWN - Do I lose all data if I turn off my smartwatch?

No. Data will be kept and after a re-connection you can review them from your phone APP.

SHUTDOWN - If I turn off my smartwatch, does it disconnect from the mobile phone?

Yes. If the watch is off, BT is off as well, so connection of course can't work.

SPORT - How do I register a sporting activity?

SPORT - Can I see my activity history?

Here the following steps: from the watch >> Swipe up from the main watch form >> Sport >> Record

TIME - Does my smartwatch show the time even when it is not connected?

Yes, it will show the time correctly even after unpairing but it won't do it if powerd off or out of battery.

TIME - My smartwatch is reading the wrong time.

Time is synced from your smartphone, so make sure that the smartwatch is well connected with the BT. If time is still wrong, we suggest to reset the data of the device, manually disconnect from the BT and pair again.

PAIRING - How can I send the data from my smartwatch to my mobile phone?

You need to download MORELLATO M-01 APP, you may download it from Google Play Store and App Store or with the QR code here below.

PAIRING - I have an Android smartphone and I can't pair my smartwatch with the smartphone because the watch can not be detected in the smartphone APP. Moreover the smartwatch does not even appear on the BT section of my smartphone.

The smart watch is designed to pair with only one smart-phone at a time. If you cannot find the watch from your APP Bluetooth list, check if it's connected to another device. If this is the case, unpair these two and try again with the desired smart-phone. not, it's likely due to a location problem. Make sure your location permission is turned on. To verify it follow these steps: from your phone: Settings >> Apps >> MORELLATO M-03 >> Permissions >> Allow LOCATION permissionOf course make sure your BT on your smartphone is ON.

ALARM - How does the alarm work?

When the alarm rings, the smartwatch starts vibrating and the display shows the time you set the alarm in the APP. It will automatically stop ringing after 15 vibrations.
